What are your fees?
General Medicine consultation with appointment 15000 yen plus tax. Urgent/Walk-In consultation for General Medicine 25000 yen plus tax. Psychiatry consultation 20000 yen plus tax (by appointment only). Psychology consultation 16000 yen plus tax (by appointment only). A fee is charged for every medical encounter as it is a requirement by law. Laboratory tests, medications, and documents will be additional. Prices are subject to change.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, we ask our patients to call* or email** in advance for an appointment. This will help us secure sufficient time for each patient and will help us maintain the highest standards of privacy and infection control. Reach us with the following information at firstname.lastname@example.org

We also ask for your punctuality. If you happen to be late, your consultation may become short or we may need to reschedule. We will contact you if you are not present at the time of appointment. If a cancellation is made without prior notification or if we experience difficulties in communication, further appointments cannot be made by email or phone. A visit to the office will be required to resolve communication issues.
*We only accept requests from patients directly. Friends, family, secretaries will not be able to place an appointment with us unless you are an established patient at our clinic. **We accept appointment requests by email at email@example.com but please kindly wait for our confirmation email. We do not consult or handle time-sensitive matters over e-mail. Therefore, we may not reply to all inquiries. Thank you in advance for your understanding on this matter.
What services do you provide?
We provide General Medicine, Psychiatry, and Wellness. We perform tests and dispense medicine from within the clinic. We also assist our patients to specialists, imaging centers, and hospitals when deemed necessary. We can also visit hotels (specific requirements apply, requests are individually assessed case-by-case). We generally DO NOT provide Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology (requests are individually assessed case-by-case).
What are my payment options?
Payments can be made by cash or credit card. We accept VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS, MASTERS, JCB, and DINERS.
What is your insurance policy?
We do not accept insurance (including the Japanese national health insurance). Services are provided on a “cash-only (direct payment)” basis. We do not offer any direct billing (cashless) arrangements. Payments are expected at the time medical services are rendered. We will issue a receipt in English (itemized with ICD code upon request) which can help when in need to submit an insurance claim.
Can a patient visit from abroad for treatment in Japan?
Yes, but each request will need to be determined individually. We can help coordinate care with language barriers, navigating the system, communication with doctors, and arranging/scheduling appointments. An initial deposit will be needed if you are visiting from abroad seeking treatment in Japan. The American Clinic Tokyo will determine the deposit amount based on the type of request. Actual charges will be adjusted based on your use of services. You will be required to settle all other hospital charges and physician charges, at each facility, at the time medical services are rendered.

A valid payment method, including credit card, is required to process the payment for your Subscription. You shall provide American Clinic Tokyo with accurate and complete billing information including full name, address, state, zip code, telephone number, and a valid payment method information. By submitting such payment information, you automatically authorize American Clinic Tokyo to charge all Subscription fees incurred through your account to any such payment instruments.
Should automatic billing fail to occur for any reason, American Clinic Tokyo will issue an electronic invoice indicating that you must proceed manually, within a certain deadline date, with the full payment corresponding to the billing period as indicated on the invoice.
American Clinic Tokyo, in its sole discretion and at any time, may modify the Subscription fees for the Subscriptions. Any Subscription fee change will become effective at the end of the then-current Billing Cycle.
American Clinic Tokyo will provide you with a reasonable prior notice of any change in Subscription fees to give you an opportunity to terminate your Subscription before such change becomes effective.
Your continued use of the Service after the Subscription fee change comes into effect constitutes your agreement to pay the modified Subscription fee amount.
Certain refund requests for Subscriptions may be considered by American Clinic Tokyo on a case-by-case basis and granted in sole discretion of American Clinic Tokyo.
When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our Service or a third-party service.
