Insights into Our Online and Hotel Visit Services in Tokyo (October-November 2025)

At our private practice in Tokyo, Japan, we specialize in providing accessible, high-quality medical care tailored to the needs of international travelers, expats, and visitors. The following insights are drawn from our data on online consultations and hotel visits during October and November 2025. These services complement our regular in-office practice by offering flexible options for those on the move or preferring remote care. Note that this analysis focuses solely on these two channels, highlighting our commitment to convenience and global outreach.

A Truly International Clientele: Our pie chart on nationalities reveals a vibrant, diverse patient base from around the world. The majority—64.2%—hail from the USA, reflecting Tokyo’s appeal as a hub for American business travelers, tourists, and expatriates. This is followed by smaller but significant shares from countries like the United Kingdom (3.0%), Turkey (3.0%), Australia (3.0%), France (3.0%), India (3.0%), and Indonesia (3.0%), with contributions from over a dozen other nations including Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Ireland, Moldova, Netherlands, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand (each around 1.5%). This distribution underscores our role as a go-to provider for English-speaking and multicultural patients in Japan.

Emphasis on Convenience: Online Dominates, Hotel Visits Provide Personalized Touch
The distribution of online vs. hotel visits shows that 74.2% of our cases were handled virtually, while 25.8% involved on-site hotel visits. This split demonstrates our adaptability in a post-pandemic world, where digital health solutions are increasingly preferred for their speed and accessibility.

Online Consultations (74.2%): These are ideal for minor ailments, follow-ups, prescription refills, or advice on local health resources. They allow patients to connect from anywhere—be it a hotel room, airport, or even en route—without disrupting their itinerary. This high proportion reflects our investment in secure telehealth platforms, ensuring privacy and efficiency for busy travelers.
Hotel Visits (25.8%): For cases requiring hands-on assessment, such as acute illnesses or examinations, our providers make house calls directly to hotels. This service is particularly valuable in a city like Tokyo, where navigating public transport or finding time for clinic visits can be challenging for visitors.

Overall, this model positions us as a patient-centered practice that prioritizes flexibility, reducing barriers to care and helping you maintain your health while exploring Japan.
